I like Cops. Now that's reality TV.
i already refuse to listen to the radio. i don't think i've listened to it voluntarily for about two years now, unless i'm in a car with someone. but if i hear nickelback or britney titney or some boy band clone group one more time, i'll hurl.
then they have the nerve to call it the "music industry". music my ass! even madonna can't make decent music these days, if that tells you anything. i listen to CDs, usually soundtracks. and that's it.
as for television, i only watch a few select shows, none of which is reality-based or any kind of pop-culture drivel. law and order, oz, six feet under, sometimes third watch. sometimes dr phil, depending on the show topic.
the only reality show i ever watched religiously was the murder mystery one they had a few years ago. Murder in Small Town X. despite the bad acting of the "townspeople" it was rather good.
sadly, the guy who won the game, $1 million and an SUV, he was one of the first group of firefighters who arrived on the scene of 9/11, and he died. the show had just ended, mere weeks before. i was sad. he was a good guy.
I like Cops. Now that's reality TV.
I have to admit to tending to watch 'Big Brother' when its on.
Oh okay so I went to an eviction when I was at Dreamworld on the GoldCoast and it was really fun.
I have to admit I got hooked on Joe Schmoe too, but other than that, I hate all reality type television. I was actually horrified when it started to become popular, and still find it amazing that our culture has come to this. Being the science fiction and fantasy nerd I am, almost all the shows I watch are in that genre, otherwise, I don't even turn the television on.
Can't they come up with more quality entertainment, like maybe belching and farting shows?

I watch TV to escape from reality. If I want reality I'll watch the news, or Cops.
I'm surprised at how popular the shows have become, but only because of the population that watches them. I know producers are ecstatic because these are the cheapest shows to make. No high priced actors, stunts, or special FX to take up the budget.
I caught an episode of Cleopatra 2525 on the SciFi channel last night. Now that's quality entertainment.

... i didn't like jennifer sky when she was on General Hospital, and i liked her even less on that ... "sci-fi" show. irritating. soooo irritating.
General Hospital? that for wussies... Young and the Restless baby! Victor Newman (what a name!) kicks ass... I wanna be Victor Newman!
I watched General Hospital when I was on house restriction one Summer. Soap Operas are even worse than reality TV. And twice as addictive.
